My office recently kicked off our annual Future Leaders Program! My staff and I welcomed high school students to the Board Hearing Room where they received a tour of the building and some insights on the role of the Board of Supervisors and County government.
After the tour, students gained insights from our County Department panel, learning more about the operations of the County and how each person got involved.
We also had a presentation from OC Workforce Development on career exploration with fun interactive activities including a virtual reality game exploring various trades.
Thank you to all of our presenters and staff for providing our Future Leaders with an enriching tour and presentations! Stay tuned for more updates on our Future Leaders’ sessions.

📚✨Today, I celebrated the grand reopening of the OC Public Libraries - Stanton Branch!
After 50+ years of service, this vital community hub is entering a new chapter with upgraded systems, modern features, and the same strong commitment to access, learning, and connection.
As part of the celebration, I donated one of my favorite books, “How to Hug a Porcupine,” to the branch’s library.
Thank you to County staff for their commitment to enhancing the library, and congratulations to the Stanton community on this great community resource!
